Gennadiy Lihventsov's long shot made the audience stand up and applaude when it rumbled by Jonathan Ferrant on his right side and into the goal. 7 minutes into the game it was 1-0. 10 minutes into the game, Vitold Rubakin was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC NOSTA's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Venezuela the free kick. After 10 played minutes FC NOSTA got a freekick which was hit by Vitold Rubakin. Tomas Illescas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Nacho González tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Tomas Illescas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 21 minutes into the match, FC NOSTA's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Illescas came free, but Nacho González reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Venezuela defense, Yuliy Esikov kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. The Venezuela fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jonathan Ferrant should have stopped the shot. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vladimir Terentiev in the 27th minute of play. In the 28thth minute of the game Tomas Illescas who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC NOSTA's Nacho González was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Yuliy Esikov could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 29th minute of the match, but Jonathan Ferrant made a huge save. If Felipe Custódio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Yuliy Esikov could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 38th minute of the match, but Jonathan Ferrant made a huge save. Patricio Costa kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. Jonathan Ferrant made a fantastic save in the 40th minute, when Yuliy Esikov sent off a good shot on target. Yuliy Esikov received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Jonathan Ferrant came out and tried to block the shot, but Yuliy Esikov slotted it home off the left post making it 3-0 in the 40th minute. Felipe Custódio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Patricio Costa hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tomas Illescas stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Patricio Costa was extremely unlucky when he, in the 53rd minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. After a defensive mix-up in FC NOSTA's zone, Tomas Illescas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nacho González came out of the goal and Tomas Illescas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Nacho González made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tomas Illescas in the 65th minute. In the 68th minute Tomas Illescas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nacho González saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Venezuela's zone, Yuliy Esikov stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal and Yuliy Esikov tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Yuliy Esikov, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 79 minutes into the game, Vladimir Terentiev cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Jonathan Ferrant was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The goalkeeper, Nacho González, was totally fooled by Venezuela's Tomas Illescas, who 90 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Yuliy Esikov, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. FC NOSTA fully deserved thier win.
