Seating: 2369, VIP seats: 206) Switzerland's Alain Berset started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Switzerland's Kim-André van der Schans played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cadfan Cornell in the 3rd minute of play. Alain Berset received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Greid Tinsmith tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 6th minute Alain Berset shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Greid Tinsmith saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Wales's Greid Tinsmith played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alain Berset in the 14th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Alain Berset's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Greid Tinsmith was relentless in the 23rd minute of the game. In the 24th match minute, Switzerland was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alessandro Finotti to maneuver through the defense. Anynnawg Hunt could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 31st minute of the match, but Kim-André van der Schans made a huge save. Wales's Greid Tinsmith played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alain Berset in the 33rd minute of play. Greid Tinsmith stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Alain Berset's shot from short distance in the 33rd minute. Wales's Naw Kean got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Kim-André van der Schans made an important save on a dangerous shot by Anynnawg Hunt in the 37th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Naw Kean in the 38th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Kim-André van der Schans saved Switzerland from getting behind. Greid Tinsmith showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alain Berset in the 39th minute of the match. Gutierre Lauri fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Greid Tinsmith having to interfere. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.
55 minutes into the match, Wales's goal looked a bit too open when Alain Berset came free, but Greid Tinsmith reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 57 minutes had been played when some careless play by Wales's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Ingo Minder was slow to take the kick. During this time Switzerland's players had a chance to rest. After 61 minutes of play, Switzerland's Alain Berset made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Greid Tinsmith was left in no man's land by his defense there! Switzerland's Neron Veterini was substituted for Alain Berset. Switzerland's Endrik Fuchs was substituted for Ingo Minder. 66 minutes into the match, Switzerland's goal looked a bit too open when Anynnawg Hunt came free, but Kim-André van der Schans reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 66th minute Naw Kean shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kim-André van der Schans saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 68 minutes Switzerland's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Cadfan Cornell who took care of the corner kick. Switzerland's Kim-André van der Schans played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Naw Kean in the 71st minute of play. 72 minutes into the match, Cadfan Cornell notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Switzerland's Kim-André van der Schans. Kim-André van der Schans was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Switzerland's Kim-André van der Schans played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anynnawg Hunt in the 76th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Neron Veterini in the 78th minute of play forced Wales's goalkeeper Greid Tinsmith to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Neron Veterini struck a weak shot in the 81st minute. Greid Tinsmith didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Switzerland. Kim-André van der Schans took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mawrth Hamill, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Neron Veterini in the 85th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Greid Tinsmith prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 86th minute Switzerland were awarded a corner. Endrik Fuchs went to the cornerflag to take it. In the 86th match minute, Switzerland was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Roman Koenig to maneuver through the defense. 86 minutes in the game, Roman Koenig got a free kick from a good position and fired away a shot. The shot didn't have enough spin and went out of bounds to the left of the goal. 88 minutes into the game, Neron Veterini cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Greid Tinsmith was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Wales's Greid Tinsmith proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 93rd minute of the match, managed to save Wales from getting a goal against them. Neron Veterini had several of the Wales's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 97 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-3 score and a disappointed Greid Tinsmith as he didn't even see the shot coming. Switzerland's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
