Ignatius Casasola made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Virgílio Teves struck a weak shot in the 22nd minute. Januário Rangel didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Garanhão do SUL. 25 minutes had been played when some careless play by MEXACOMX's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Salvador Lousada was slow to take the kick. During this time Garanhão do SUL's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Edgar Costa almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but MEXACOMX's Januário Rangel did a great save. Januário Rangel stood somewhat misplaced when Edgar Costa came free in front of goal and shot 1-1 to the left of him in the 25 minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Virgílio Teves in the 28th minute of play forced MEXACOMX's goalkeeper Januário Rangel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A nice corner shot did that Salvador Lousada got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Januário Rangel quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Januário Rangel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Virgílio Teves in the 60th minute of play. Ricardo Guerra might have been able to make a better finish in the 61st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ignatius Casasola. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ricardo Guerra ran back to his position shaking his head. After some fancy dribbling in the 63rd minute, Virgílio Teves managed to get in a good position for a shot. Garanhão do SUL's supporters rose to their feet, but Virgílio Teves was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Januário Rangel breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Garanhão do SUL's Angel Edorta was substituted for 龙然明. The MEXACOMX players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
