After 3 played minutes SLB TELHA got a freekick which was hit by Patrik Beaton. Matos Velhos's Vito de Godoi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Patrik Beaton in the 6th minute of play. Vito de Godoi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Patrik Beaton in the 6th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Isaac Chesus in the 7th minute of play forced Matos Velhos's goalkeeper Vito de Godoi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Vito de Godoi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Patrik Beaton, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. In the 10th minute of the match, Isaac Chesus tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Vito de Godoi saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Lisandro Festas came out of the goal in the 15th minute to try and stop a shot by Matos Velhos's Júlio Gentil. But to his dismay, Júlio Gentil quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Lisandro Festas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Júlio Gentil, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. Vito de Godoi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Isaac Chesus, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. 21 minutes into the match, Matos Velhos's goal looked a bit too open when Hugo Tomé came free, but Vito de Godoi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lisandro Festas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sabino Vilhena in the 23rd minute of play. After some careless play in the SLB TELHA defense, Júlio Gentil kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Lisandro Festas. With his leg Vito de Godoi managed to avoid a goal in the 36thth minute, when SLB TELHA's Luís Ribas fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The supporters of SLB TELHA booed when Matos Velhos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adalberto Peres didn't get a good kick on the ball. After recieving a nice pass, SLB TELHA's Hugo Tomé tried to score from far away in the 43rd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Vito de Godoi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ivo Campelo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 46th minute, Sabino Vilhena hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The SLB TELHA players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Matos Velhos were winning 0-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Júlio Gentil made a kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Júlio Gentil got free with Lisandro Festas in the 51st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 53rd minute Júlio Gentil shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lisandro Festas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 53 played minutes Matos Velhos got a freekick which was hit by Martin Lindman. 56 minutes into the match, Matos Velhos's goal looked a bit too open when Patrik Beaton came free, but Vito de Godoi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 60th minute, Jose Cachero hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Lisandro Festas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Júlio Gentil in the 61st minute of play. Vito de Godoi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luís Ribas in the 62nd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Henrique Candal in the 68th minute of play forced SLB TELHA's goalkeeper Lisandro Festas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 72nd minute Júlio Gentil shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lisandro Festas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vito de Godoi made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. SLB TELHA's Lisandro Festas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Júlio Gentil in the 80th minute of play. 83 minutes into the match, Júlio Gentil had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Lisandro Festas. SLB TELHA's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Júlio Gentil was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. Júlio Gentil could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 87th minute of the match, but Lisandro Festas made a huge save. Vito de Godoi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luís Ribas, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. The Matos Velhos supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Matos Velhos would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
