Spectators: 38 (Terracing: 29, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Virgílio Teves took the kick off in the first half of the match. Vito de Godoi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Akis Kefallinos in the 7th minute of play. Martin Lindman lost his temper 12 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. Matos Velhos:s Vito de Godoi showed great skill when he stopped Akis Kefallinos:s penalty. 16 minutes into the game, Virgílio Teves cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Vito de Godoi was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Edgar Costas short, quick shot in the 23rdth minute got Vito de Godoi to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After 24 played minutes Garanhão do SUL got a freekick which was hit by Salvador Lousada. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Júlio Gentil in the 26th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ignatius Casasola saved Garanhão do SUL from getting behind. When Matos Velhos's Júlio Gentil in the 26th minute got a chance for a shot 26th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Garanhão do SUL's goalie prevented a goal. Tord Böcklund made a great header on Matos Velhos's corner, it was just that Garanhão do SUL's Ignatius Casasola managed to reach the ball for a save. In the 31st minute, Júlio Gentil got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Júlio Gentil in the 32nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ignatius Casasola saved Garanhão do SUL from getting behind. When Júlio Gentil came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the Matos Velhos fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Júlio Gentil couldn't finish the play. In the 43rd minute Virgílio Teves shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vito de Godoi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Generoso Silvino kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Júlio Gentil made a kick off. In the 51st minute Júlio Gentil shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ignatius Casasola saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 55th minute of the match Matos Velhos got a corner. Garanhão do SUL's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Tord Böcklund ran over to the corner to take the kick. Ignatius Casasola made an important save on a dangerous shot by Júlio Gentil in the 56th minute. Garanhão do SUL's Obafemi Fabiani was substituted for Torcato Rebocho. In the 62nd minute André Roriz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vito de Godoi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 63rd minute, 龙然明 hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Garanhão do SUL's Ignatius Casasola proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 67th minute of the match, managed to save Garanhão do SUL from getting a goal against them. Vito de Godoi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from André Roriz in the 69th minute of play. Vito de Godoi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from André Roriz in the 73rd minute of the match. After 73 minutes of play, Garanhão do SUL's André Roriz made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Vito de Godoi was left in no man's land by his defense there! Matos Velhos made a substitution. Lee Beckford replaced Henrique Candal. Matos Velhos's Jiang Qing Lin suffered a sprained foot after 77 minutes and couldn't finish the game. When Salvador Lousada fell near the penalty area in the 77th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Garanhão do SUL's protests and gave Salvador Lousada a yellow card for diving instead. Garanhão do SUL's defense didn't have a chance, in the 83rd minute, when Lee Beckford scored to the left of an out of position Ignatius Casasola, making the score, 2-2. Ignatius Casasola was a little too slow when Lee Beckford got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 91st minute. The score was now 2-3. In the 96th play minute Lee Beckford came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Ignatius Casasola. 2-4. Matos Velhos's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
