To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Dave Nash in the 17thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Dimas Nunes, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. 22 minutes into the game, Gabriel Junqueira was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sporting DoutroMundo's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave AD Oliveirense the free kick. Gabriel Junqueira kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. If Paulino Paião had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Dave Nash who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 28thth minute tested the skills of Dimas Nunes when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Dimas Nunes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Celedonio Berenguer, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. In the 32nd minute, Dave Nash fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. In the 35th minute, Paulino Paião ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Júlio César was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. After 38 minutes of play, AD Oliveirense's Dave Nash made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Dimas Nunes was left in no man's land by his defense there! Dimas Nunes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fabrício Baía in the 43rd minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Sporting DoutroMundo's Jairo Leão got a free kick in the 45th minute. AD Oliveirense's Júlio César played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jairo Leão in the 48th minute of play. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Paulino Paião was the one to do the kick off. After 52 played minutes AD Oliveirense got a freekick which was hit by André Fraga. Dimas Nunes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Celedonio Berenguer, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. Sporting DoutroMundo's Jairo Leão got a good chance for a goal in the 59th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 71st minute, Paulino Paião hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Paulino Paião hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice moves Paulino Paião could shoot a difficult shot in the 74th minute, which Júlio César however easily saved by the left post. In the 77th minute, LeBron Naldo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Gabriel Junqueira was shown his second yellow card after 78 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 82ndth minute of the game Paulino Paião who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but AD Oliveirense's Júlio César was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 86th minute, Aras Görkem Şükür hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Vahdet Kotuzhan during the 88th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of AD Oliveirense booed when Sporting DoutroMundo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vahdet Kotuzhan didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 94th minute, Marco Espírito Santo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The AD Oliveirense fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1.
