After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Sálvio Ribeiro to make the kick off. Eduardo Fontoura blasted a shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Vladimiro Matai having to make a save.
