SC Freiburg 09's Ivo Guterres proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 24th minute of the match, managed to save SC Freiburg 09 from getting a goal against them. Ivo Guterres showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jerónimo Furtado in the 33rd minute of the match. In the 34th minute, Jerónimo Furtado ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ivo Guterres was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Ivo Guterres made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alexandre Santana in the 38th minute. 42 minutes into the match, Abílio Passos notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of União Sport Clube Paredes's Edwin van der Sar.
