Alfréd Fenyvessy recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 3rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Júlio César made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from António Gama in the 6th minute of play. Júlio César showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from António Gama in the 8th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in AD Oliveirense's zone, Edgar Costa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Júlio César came out of the goal and Edgar Costa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ignatius Casasola showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marco Espírito Santo, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. AD Oliveirense's Júlio César played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Torcato Rebocho in the 16th minute of play. Júlio César stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of António Gama's shot from short distance in the 21st minute. When the match had gone on for 25 minutes, Marco Espírito Santo took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Ignatius Casasola to make any attempt to save it. Dave Nash could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 31st minute of the match, but Ignatius Casasola made a huge save. A collision led to AD Oliveirense getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. André Fraga hit a great ball. Garanhão do SUL's Edgar Costa got a good chance for a goal in the 36th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ignatius Casasola showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marco Espírito Santo, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. Júlio César showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edgar Costa in the 47th minute of the match. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Edgar Costa was the one to do the kick off. Garanhão do SUL's Ignatius Casasola played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dave Nash in the 50th minute of play. In the 52nd minute Dave Nash shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ignatius Casasola saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Edgar Costa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Júlio César having to interfere. Ignatius Casasola stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Fabrício Baía's shot from short distance in the 62nd minute. In the 65th minute, Akis Kefallinos got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Garanhão do SUL's Angel Edorta was substituted for Salvador Lousada. AD Oliveirense made a substitution. Marco Fonseca replaced Marco Espírito Santo. If Amado Vigário had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 78 minutes into the match, AD Oliveirense's goalkeeper Júlio César had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Amado Vigário. In the 80thth minute of the game Marco Fonseca who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Garanhão do SUL's Ignatius Casasola was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Ignatius Casasola came out of the goal in the 82nd minute to try and stop a shot by AD Oliveirense's Marco Fonseca. But to his dismay, Marco Fonseca quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. After 85 played minutes Garanhão do SUL got a freekick which was hit by Amado Vigário. Ignatius Casasola showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Celedonio Berenguer, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. Ignatius Casasola took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Celedonio Berenguer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Marco Fonseca had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Marco Fonseca fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ignatius Casasola having to interfere. AD Oliveirense's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
