The Lobos de Carelia fans' excitement grew in the 31st match minute when Lobos de Carelia's Saul Montrel looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Saul Montrel's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Nilson Peres firmly grabbed it by the left post. Ryszard Barycz blasted a shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Nestor Cortez having to make a save. Nestor Cortez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ryszard Barycz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ryszard Barycz in the 42nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nestor Cortez prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Rodriguinho Linhares sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Prospero Perico to strike the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Lobos de Carelia getting a freekick after 55 minutes play.
