Dé Töpper recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 21st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Pilar FC booed when S.C. Corinthians Paulista was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edgard de Lima didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cristian Jenaro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fırat Aytekin having to interfere.
