After taking down the ball on Lobos de Carelia's corner Cristobal Lia fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Ivar Bjurström quite easily take care of the ball. Rosalio Roson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Nestor Cortez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 96 minutes into the match, Glorioso Deportivo Cali's goal looked a bit too open when Cristobal Lia came free, but Ivar Bjurström reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Despite being the better team, Lobos de Carelia failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
