An unexpectedly hard shot by Tiburcio Marques in the 53rd minute of play forced Lobos de Carelia's goalkeeper Nestor Cortez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The corner led S.C. Corinthians Paulista's Doğuhan Alpaslan to fire away a dangerous shot which Nestor Cortez despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Tiburcio Marques's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Nestor Cortez read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 62nd minute of play. After 63 minutes Lobos de Carelia's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Doğuhan Alpaslan who took care of the corner kick. Vecdi Tamkut thought of kicking away a contribution in front of goal but messed it up so badly that the ball went to the right of an astonished Nestor Cortez, a very annoying self made goal in the 63rd minute which led to 0-6. With a little luck, Lobos de Carelia's Nestor Cortez got control of the ball when Tiburcio Marques tried to sneak it across the goal line. Nestor Cortez was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Tiburcio Marques showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-7 in the 72 minute of play.
