The supporters of S.C. Corinthians Paulista booed when Rönnöfors FF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sten Hökqvist didn't get a good kick on the ball. Johannes Kruuse recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 15th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Henry Fagerberg in the 17th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fırat Aytekin saved S.C. Corinthians Paulista from getting behind. When the match clock showed 21 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Johannes Kruuse sped through Rönnöfors FF's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Magne Gunnarsson. An unexpectedly hard shot by Johannes Kruuse in the 29th minute of play forced Rönnöfors FF's goalkeeper Magne Gunnarsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 31 minutes into the game, S.C. Corinthians Paulista's Johannes Kruuse nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Magne Gunnarsson made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. The audience thought a goal was coming when Henry Fagerberg got free with Fırat Aytekin in the 35th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Rönnöfors FF's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Ciro da Silveira ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on S.C. Corinthians Paulista's corner Nildo Rosa fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Magne Gunnarsson quite easily take care of the ball. Rönnöfors FF's Magne Gunnarsson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 58th minute of the match, managed to save Rönnöfors FF from getting a goal against them. Magne Gunnarsson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Johannes Kruuse in the 60th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Zuberoa Ezquerra got free with Magne Gunnarsson in the 63rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 69 minutes into the match, Rönnöfors FF's goalkeeper Magne Gunnarsson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Johannes Kruuse. 71 minutes into the match, Zuberoa Ezquerra had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Magne Gunnarsson. Rönnöfors FF's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Zuberoa Ezquerra was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. 78 minutes into the match, S.C. Corinthians Paulista's goal looked a bit too open when Per Tunström came free, but Fırat Aytekin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fırat Aytekin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Henry Fagerberg in the 79th minute of the match. 86 minutes into the game, Zuberoa Ezquerra cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-4. Magne Gunnarsson was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 93rd minute of the match S.C. Corinthians Paulista got a corner. In the 96thth minute of the game Evandro Trancoso who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Rönnöfors FF's Magne Gunnarsson was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When the match clock showed 96 minutes, the score became 1-5 when Evandro Trancoso sped through Rönnöfors FF's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Magne Gunnarsson. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. S.C. Corinthians Paulista had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
