The crowd rose to their feet as Despidida AFC's Alvaro Raymond slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Sixto Luke. That made the score 1-0 after 8 minutes of play. Pilar FC's Sixto Luke played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dinu Ivănescu in the 17th minute of play. In the 17th minute Dinu Ivănescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sixto Luke saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Candido Hendrickx's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fernando Selatse read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 22nd minute of play. 29 minutes had been played when some careless play by Pilar FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Emanuel Lucila was slow to take the kick. During this time Despidida AFC's players had a chance to rest. The corner first didn't look so dangerous but when Justino Elequemedo got the ball he succeeded in some way to get through the defenders to deliver a very hard score. Result 2-0. 29 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Despidida AFC's zone, Martin Benítez stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fernando Selatse came out of the goal and Martin Benítez tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Fernando Selatse took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Candido Hendrickx, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 39 minutes into the match, Despidida AFC's Dinu Ivănescu sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Sixto Luke narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Fernando Selatse didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Candido Hendrickx went, in the 45th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. Kajetan Gdowik hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Candido Hendrickx to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Despidida AFC's goalkeeper Fernando Selatse, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Candido Hendrickx blasted a shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Fernando Selatse having to make a save. With a little luck, Despidida AFC's Fernando Selatse got control of the ball when Candido Hendrickx tried to sneak it across the goal line. Candido Hendrickx took the ball and in the 57 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Fernando Selatse. Fernando Selatse dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. Despidida AFC's Arturo Arano was substituted for Kajetan Gdowik. Despidida AFC made a substitution. Ancho Branca replaced Dinu Ivănescu. Pilar FC made a substitution. Guus Koole replaced Cristian Jenaro. Candido Hendrickx recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 64th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Martin Benítez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Pilar FC's Nicanor Illan was substituted for Candido Hendrickx. Luca Langoni replaced Martin Benítez. 72 minutes into the match, Despidida AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Guus Koole came free, but Fernando Selatse reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Eustacio Baldovino made in the 73rd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Despidida AFC's Oliver Rizzo. The supporters of Pilar FC booed when Despidida AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Oliver Rizzo didn't get a good kick on the ball. The nice shot from Nicanor Illan in the 81stth minute just in front of the goal should have ended in point on the board, but Fernando Selatse had a great feel for the game and superbly saved the ball from getting in by the left post. Fernando Selatse made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Guus Koole in the 86th minute of play. Pilar FC's Sixto Luke played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emanuel Lucila in the 89th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Luca Langoni got free with Fernando Selatse in the 90th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 93rd minute of the match Despidida AFC got a corner. Pilar FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Emanuel Lucila ran over to the corner to take the kick. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
