Fabien Barthez didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Tiburcio Marques went, in the 17th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Tiburcio Marques might have been able to make a better finish in the 20th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Fabien Barthez. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tiburcio Marques ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 20th minute Tiburcio Marques shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fabien Barthez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Egg Chasers FC's Fabien Barthez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tiburcio Marques in the 22nd minute of play. Fırat Aytekin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Damian Stonehouse, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. Tiburcio Marques made a great header on S.C. Corinthians Paulista's corner, it was just that Egg Chasers FC's Fabien Barthez managed to reach the ball for a save.
