The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Tiburcio Marques was extremely unlucky when he, in the 3rd minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Tiburcio Marques could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 4th minute of the match, but Francisco Nesor made a huge save. After 5 minutes, Antonio Eyague mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Metal Juniors and the S.C. Corinthians Paulista players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 5 played minutes Metal Juniors got a freekick which was hit by Antonio Eyague. 11 minutes into the match, Doğuhan Alpaslan dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Francisco Nesor, 1-0. Francisco Nesor showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Doğuhan Alpaslan in the 21st minute of the match. S.C. Corinthians Paulista's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Doğuhan Alpaslan in the 22nd minute. The corner ended in Tiburcio Marques almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Metal Juniors's Francisco Nesor did a great save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Martín Palermo in the 25th minute of play forced S.C. Corinthians Paulista's goalkeeper Fırat Aytekin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of S.C. Corinthians Paulista booed when Metal Juniors was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Melker Flink didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tiburcio Marques in the 39th minute of play forced Metal Juniors's goalkeeper Francisco Nesor to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. S.C. Corinthians Paulista's Nildo Rosa was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Francisco Nesor in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Martín Palermo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Tiburcio Marques received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Francisco Nesor tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. S.C. Corinthians Paulista's Nildo Rosa managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Antonio Eyague in the 56 minute of the game. When Tiburcio Marques came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the S.C. Corinthians Paulista fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tiburcio Marques couldn't finish the play. In the 59th minute Tiburcio Marques shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Francisco Nesor saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Francisco Nesor came out of the goal in the 59th minute to try and stop a shot by S.C. Corinthians Paulista's Tiburcio Marques. But to his dismay, Tiburcio Marques quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. In the 62nd minute Tiburcio Marques shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Francisco Nesor saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Francisco Nesor came out of the goal in the 64th minute to try and stop a shot by S.C. Corinthians Paulista's Tiburcio Marques. Melker Flink hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. S.C. Corinthians Paulista made a substitution. Valdecir Carlos replaced Edgard de Lima. S.C. Corinthians Paulista's Dé Töpper was substituted for Dan Waller. A collision led to Metal Juniors getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Melker Flink hit a great ball. Metal Juniors's Francisco Nesor played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tiburcio Marques in the 74th minute of play. Dé Töpper scored 4-0 in the 77th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Francisco Nesor, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Francisco Nesor showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nildo Rosa, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. A nice corner shot did that Doğuhan Alpaslan got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Francisco Nesor quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Corinthians Paulista was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eriberto Talló to maneuver through the defense. 94 minutes into the match, Metal Juniors's goal looked a bit too open when Dé Töpper came free, but Francisco Nesor reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. S.C. Corinthians Paulista were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Metal Juniors for a fine match.
