The Metal Juniors fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Francisco Nesor should have stopped the shot. Hubert Fagrell took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Martín Palermo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 22nd minute, Martín Palermo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Metal Juniors fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. When Martín Palermo came up free with the goalie in the 38th minute, the Metal Juniors fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Martín Palermo couldn't finish the play. Metal Juniors were furious when Adalberto Custódio was red carded, 42 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. 42 minutes into the game, one of Metal Juniors:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. 47 minutes into the match, Metal Juniors's goal looked a bit too open when Per Stenberg came free, but Francisco Nesor reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Francisco Nesor took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Per Stenberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Marco Ireno stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Metal Juniors:s Francisco Nesor showed great skill when he stopped Henry Fagerberg:s penalty. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Per Stenberg in the 59th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Francisco Nesor saved Metal Juniors from getting behind. Arne Stor scored 2-1 in the 65th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Francisco Nesor, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Metal Juniors made a substitution. Sergio Dennis replaced Martín Palermo. In the 69th minute, Per Stenberg ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Francisco Nesor was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. After having played for 75 minutes, Marco Ireno managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Metal Juniors's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marco Ireno was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Reinaldo Castro in the 79th minute of play forced Rönnöfors FF's goalkeeper Hubert Fagrell to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Metal Juniors's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Reinaldo Castro in the 80th minute. Leopoldo Itzaina was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. The supporters of Rönnöfors FF booed when Metal Juniors was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Antonio Eyague didn't get a good kick on the ball. Reinaldo Castro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Rönnöfors FF fans cheered their team off the field, for while Metal Juniors had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
