Soroca F.C.'s Dan Wennerqvist played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Matthew Brookman in the 27th minute of play. Dan Wennerqvist made a fantastic save in the 33rd minute, when Matthew Brookman sent off a good shot on target. Fabien Barthez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zézinho Neiva in the 35th minute of play. In the 39th minute, Adrián Espadas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Soroca F.C.'s Amador Venceslao got a free kick in the 45th minute. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

Egg Chasers FC's Fabien Barthez proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 60th minute of the match, managed to save Egg Chasers FC from getting a goal against them. After some fancy dribbling in the 65th minute, Adrián Espadas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Soroca F.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Adrián Espadas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fabien Barthez breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Soroca F.C.'s Romulo Thomas was substituted for Gustavo Tartalo. Soroca F.C.'s Răzvan Necula was substituted for Adrián Espadas. Soroca F.C. made a substitution. Rodolfo Atarrabi replaced Hernan Lano. The audience thought a goal was coming when Răzvan Necula got free with Fabien Barthez in the 81st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ronny Whieldon during the 83rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 84 played minutes Egg Chasers FC got a freekick which was hit by Ronny Whieldon. The audience was convinced that Răzvan Necula's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Fabien Barthez was relentless in the 88th minute of the game. In the 92nd minute, Răzvan Necula reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Fabien Barthez. The goal made the score 1-5.
