In the 81st minute Peppone Simmen suffered a knee injury and had to be helped off the field. Joseph Asklöv's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fabien Barthez read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 88th minute of play. Joseph Asklöv took the ball and in the 93 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Fabien Barthez. Fabien Barthez dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. Sao Brasola's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
