Joacim First made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Meng Di Jun in the 7th minute of play. 10 minutes into the match, Pinhote FC's goal looked a bit too open when Meng Di Jun came free, but Joacim First reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Meng Di Jun recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 16th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. FC Dezassete's Miguel Marin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Waldemar Rosen in the 19th minute of play. 22 minutes into the game, Sebastião Andrade threw the ball into play from the sideline. FC Dezassete's Isac Bomba quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. If Holger Siöberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. After the first half Pinhote FC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

FC Dezassete's Hamlet Häfliger managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Sebastião Andrade in the 56 minute of the game. Miguel Marin made a fantastic save in the 58th minute, when Holger Siöberg sent off a good shot on target. With a little luck, FC Dezassete's Miguel Marin got control of the ball when Sílvio Luís Ceresso tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 64th minute, Holger Siöberg reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Miguel Marin. The goal made the score 0-2. In the 66th minute, Waldemar Rosen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to FC Dezassete getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Quintino Graça hit a great ball. The Pinhote FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Pinhote FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
