The VB-Team fans' excitement grew in the 44th match minute when VB-Team's Luís Caeiro looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Mattias Jonasson kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Joaquim de Barros stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Laurențiu Gaciu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Joaquim de Barros in the 51st minute. Laurențiu Gaciu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luís Caeiro in the 56th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bruno Soveral in the 76th minute of play forced VB-Team's goalkeeper Armindo Salgado to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Armindo Salgado came out of the goal in the 77th minute to try and stop a shot by Exército Português's Armando Meireles. But to his dismay, Armando Meireles quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. A collision led to VB-Team getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Sandro Leitão hit a great ball. Laurențiu Gaciu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Traian Hăvârneanu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. VB-Team's Armindo Salgado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bruno Soveral in the 94th minute of play. VB-Team were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
