The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mao Zhen Hong made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Horaţiu Bacalbașa in the 31st minute of play. In the 43rd minute Wojciech Grunwalski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mao Zhen Hong saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Fryderyk Grucza got free with Artur Brudzisz in the 46th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.

The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Academia Monte Gordo. Mao Zhen Hong was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Horaţiu Bacalbașa showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-7 in the 96 minute of play. The Academia Monte Gordo supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Bacardi Black Bats's performance. The match ended with a win for Bacardi Black Bats.
