Artur Brudzisz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cai Yuan Yuan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cai Yuan Yuan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Artur Brudzisz having to interfere. Pankracy Zajonc was a little too slow when Horaţiu Bacalbașa got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 14th minute. The score was now 1-0. Artur Brudzisz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cai Yuan Yuan went, in the 17th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. After 20 played minutes Bacardi Black Bats got a freekick which was hit by Horaţiu Bacalbașa. Cai Yuan Yuan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Horaţiu Bacalbașa could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 29th minute of the match, but Pankracy Zajonc made a huge save. If Horaţiu Bacalbașa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. MZ Fénix's attentive Vladimiro Granja managed to snatch the ball when Marcelito Silva made a throw-in in the 33rd minute of the game. A throw-in in the 36th minute of the game was made by Abílio Severiano with Horaţiu Bacalbașa as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Cai Yuan Yuan's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Artur Brudzisz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 40th minute of play. 47 minutes in the game Marcelito Silva did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Abílio Severiano. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cai Yuan Yuan stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Cai Yuan Yuan's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Artur Brudzisz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 51st minute of play. The supporters of Bacardi Black Bats booed when MZ Fénix was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nicolas Balsemão didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience held their breath when Hermenegildo Rebelo in the 56th minute of the game managed to trick the opponents defenses and fired away a shot outside the goal on the Pankracy Zajonc's left hand side. After 60 played minutes Bacardi Black Bats got a freekick which was hit by Marcelito Silva. Cai Yuan Yuan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bacardi Black Bats made a substitution. Alexandre Mafra replaced Quentin Platt. Bacardi Black Bats's Alexandre Mourinho was substituted for Cristóvão França. MZ Fénix's Alexandre Valido was substituted for Vladimiro Granja. 72 minutes into the match, MZ Fénix's Florin Dragușin sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Artur Brudzisz narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The throw-in from Marcelito Silva in the 81st minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by MZ Fénix's Tomasz Waldoch. 84 minutes into the game, Hermenegildo Rebelo threw the ball into play from the sideline. MZ Fénix's Tomasz Waldoch quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Artur Brudzisz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cai Yuan Yuan, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. In the 91st match minute, Bacardi Black Bats was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marcelito Silva to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, Bacardi Black Bats's Artur Brudzisz got control of the ball when Aras Görkem Kaymaz tried to sneak it across the goal line. The MZ Fénix supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing MZ Fénix would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
