Qiu Chuan Ran made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cai Yuan Yuan in the 14th minute of play. In the 14th minute, Cai Yuan Yuan ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Qiu Chuan Ran was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. In the 17th minute the ball was on its way in behind Sporting Clube V.R.S.A.'s goalkeeper Qiu Chuan Ran, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After taking down the ball on MZ Fénix's corner Lázaro Ramalho fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Qiu Chuan Ran quite easily take care of the ball. The supporters of Sporting Clube V.R.S.A. booed when MZ Fénix was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vladimiro Granja didn't get a good kick on the ball. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Sporting Clube V.R.S.A.'s goalie and right to Lázaro Ramalho. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Sporting Clube V.R.S.A.'s manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. In the 34th minute Cai Yuan Yuan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Qiu Chuan Ran saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. But to his dismay, Cai Yuan Yuan quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. MZ Fénix's Pankracy Zajonc played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rodolfo Faria in the 60th minute of play. The Sporting Clube V.R.S.A. fans' excitement grew in the 60th match minute when Sporting Clube V.R.S.A.'s Rodolfo Faria looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 63rd minute Cai Yuan Yuan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Qiu Chuan Ran saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 65thth minute of the game Cai Yuan Yuan who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Sporting Clube V.R.S.A.'s Qiu Chuan Ran was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. MZ Fénix's Alexandre Valido was substituted for Vladimiro Granja. MZ Fénix's attentive Tomasz Waldoch managed to snatch the ball when Witold Piszczor made a throw-in in the 71st minute of the game. In the 72nd minute Cai Yuan Yuan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Qiu Chuan Ran saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 72 minutes into the game, Cai Yuan Yuan cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-1. Qiu Chuan Ran was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Sporting Clube V.R.S.A.'s Modesto Bras was substituted for Israel Carvalhal. With a little luck, MZ Fénix's Pankracy Zajonc got control of the ball when Rodolfo Faria tried to sneak it across the goal line. 84 minutes into the game, MZ Fénix's Cai Yuan Yuan nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. MZ Fénix's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sporting Clube V.R.S.A. the free kick. The supporters of Sporting Clube V.R.S.A. booed when MZ Fénix was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tomasz Waldoch didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sporting Clube V.R.S.A.'s players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
