Feliks Maurycy fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Selahaddin Esentürk having to interfere. A throw-in in the 35th minute of the game was made by Ian Van Den Driessche with Toro Lindø as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. If Armando Meireles had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nélson Sousa charged in rather forcefully in the 43rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Armando Meireles stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Armando Meireles received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Selahaddin Esentürk came out and tried to block the shot, but Armando Meireles slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 91st minute.
