Qiu Chuan Ran made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joaquim de Barros in the 8th minute of play. Gonzalo Lixandro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 10th minute of the match, but Armindo Salgado made a huge save. Qiu Chuan Ran showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joaquim de Barros in the 11th minute of the match. 13 minutes into the match, Sporting Clube V.R.S.A.'s goal looked a bit too open when Luís Caeiro came free, but Qiu Chuan Ran reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 14 minutes, Rodolfo Faria managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sporting Clube V.R.S.A.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Rodolfo Faria was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. VB-Team's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Álvaro Rezende in the 18th minute. Álvaro Rezende made a great header on VB-Team's corner, it was just that Sporting Clube V.R.S.A.'s Qiu Chuan Ran managed to reach the ball for a save. Gervásio Severiano hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. Qiu Chuan Ran showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joaquim de Barros in the 22nd minute of the match. After 24 minutes Sporting Clube V.R.S.A.'s defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Álvaro Rezende who took care of the corner kick. Armindo Salgado showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gonzalo Lixandro in the 26th minute of the match. 32 minutes into the match, Sporting Clube V.R.S.A.'s goal looked a bit too open when Luís Caeiro came free, but Qiu Chuan Ran reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Qiu Chuan Ran showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joaquim de Barros, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gonzalo Lixandro in the 35th minute of play forced VB-Team's goalkeeper Armindo Salgado to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sporting Clube V.R.S.A.'s Qiu Chuan Ran played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luís Caeiro in the 37th minute of play. The Sporting Clube V.R.S.A. players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. VB-Team were winning 0-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Joaquim de Barros stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Israel Carvalhal charged in rather forcefully in the 50th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Israel Carvalhal the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 53rd minute VB-Team were awarded a corner. Álvaro Rezende went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led VB-Team's Sandro Leitão to fire away a dangerous shot which Qiu Chuan Ran despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the last second Qiu Chuan Ran throw himself and got hold of the ball when Luís Caeiro in the 55thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. In the 59th minute of the match Sporting Clube V.R.S.A. got a corner. VB-Team's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Israel Carvalhal ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on Sporting Clube V.R.S.A.'s corner Rodolfo Faria fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Armindo Salgado quite easily take care of the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Joaquim de Barros got free with Qiu Chuan Ran in the 63rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 63rd match minute, Sporting Clube V.R.S.A. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rodolfo Faria to maneuver through the defense. Qiu Chuan Ran made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joaquim de Barros in the 67th minute of play. Armindo Salgado showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rodolfo Faria in the 68th minute of the match. In the 69thth minute of the game Joaquim de Barros who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Sporting Clube V.R.S.A.'s Qiu Chuan Ran was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Sporting Clube V.R.S.A. made a substitution. Claudemiro Madureira replaced Israel Carvalhal. If Gonzalo Lixandro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. From a short distance, VB-Team's Luís Caeiro, in the 81st minute, tried to place the ball behind Qiu Chuan Ran, but the ball hit the right post on the wrong side and went out. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Luís Caeiro in the 81st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Qiu Chuan Ran prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Sporting Clube V.R.S.A.'s Qiu Chuan Ran played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Traian Hăvârneanu in the 91st minute of play. Luís Caeiro kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. The Sporting Clube V.R.S.A. supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching VB-Team's performance. The match ended with a win for VB-Team.
