After a rather tough play, SAS's Germano Bertassi got a free kick in the 2nd minute. SAS's Lúcio Rodrigues played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mathias Berger in the 3rd minute of play. SAS's Cafu Mandrak got a good chance for a goal in the 6th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 13 played minutes Sagarana Clube got a freekick which was hit by Mathias Berger. After 20 minutes, Mathias Berger mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sagarana Clube and the SAS players grew even worse after the yellow card. Mathias Berger kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. After 21 played minutes Sagarana Clube got a freekick which was hit by Eliseu Neto. Alfredo Velloso's late challenge caught a Sagarana Clube's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Alfredo Velloso helped the player get up and apologised. In the 27th match minute, SAS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alfredo Velloso to maneuver through the defense. Kiko Aparecido made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cafu Mandrak in the 33rd minute. Cafu Mandrak in the 33rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Kiko Aparecido, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 34th minute of the match, Cafu Mandrak tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Kiko Aparecido saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After some careless play in the Sagarana Clube defense, Beto Maia kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Kiko Aparecido. The Sagarana Clube fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Kiko Aparecido should have stopped the shot. After 41 minutes, Cafu Mandrak made it 3-1 with a short kick to the right side. Sagarana Clube's Kiko Aparecido tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After some careless play in the SAS defense, Erik Salles kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Lúcio Rodrigues. The SAS fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Lúcio Rodrigues should have stopped the shot. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-2 at half-time.

The wind increased when Mathias Berger made the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, SAS's Sandro Velasco got a free kick in the 51st minute. After 53 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Sagarana Clube! In the 55th minute there was a penalty for SAS. Dadá Branco stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Kiko Aparecido. 4-2. The supporters of SAS booed when Sagarana Clube was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Iuri Vinhas didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dadá Branco's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Kiko Aparecido read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 58th minute of play. Lúcio Rodrigues made a fantastic save in the 64th minute, when Sidnei Trigo sent off a good shot on target. The supporters of Sagarana Clube booed when SAS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alfredo Velloso didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 71st minute, Sagarana Clube's Mathias Berger ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Lúcio Rodrigues. Lúcio Rodrigues yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 4-3. Edvaldo Miranda hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. Alfredo Velloso made in the 78th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Sagarana Clube's Arnaldo dos Santos. Lúcio Rodrigues took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mathias Berger, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 80 minutes into the match, SAS's goal looked a bit too open when Mathias Berger came free, but Lúcio Rodrigues reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kiko Aparecido showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cafu Mandrak in the 81st minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 82nd minute, Elias Vieira managed to get in a good position for a shot. SAS's supporters rose to their feet, but Elias Vieira was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kiko Aparecido breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Kiko Aparecido took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cafu Mandrak, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dudu de Souza in the 89th minute of play forced Sagarana Clube's goalkeeper Kiko Aparecido to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mathias Berger in the 92nd minute of play forced SAS's goalkeeper Lúcio Rodrigues to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lúcio Rodrigues came out of the goal in the 94th minute to try and stop a shot by Sagarana Clube's Mathias Berger. But to his dismay, Mathias Berger quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-4. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
