In the 13th minute, Daniel Linberg ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jonathan Ferrant was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. Los Galacticos FC's Conny Falck played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Illescas in the 17th minute of play. The supporters of Los Galacticos FC booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Patricio Costa didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Los Galacticos FC's Roger Pilgren got a free kick in the 21st minute. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Linberg in the 24th minute of play. Venezuela's Tomas Illescas got a good chance for a goal in the 25th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Venezuela's defense didn't have a chance, in the 27th minute, when Daniel Linberg scored to the left of an out of position Jonathan Ferrant, making the score, 3-0. 35 minutes into the game, Roger Pilgren recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Jonathan Ferrant. Roger Pilgren showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 4-0. Conny Falck took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomas Illescas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 47 minutes, Daniel Linberg managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Los Galacticos FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Daniel Linberg was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Daniel Linberg to make the kick off. Roger Pilgren received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Jonathan Ferrant tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jonathan Ferrant stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Daniel Linberg's shot from short distance in the 62nd minute. Conny Falck showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomas Illescas in the 65th minute of the match. Jonathan Ferrant didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Los Galacticos FC's Daniel Linberg shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 5-0 in the ordered_time% minute. Roger Pilgren sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Linberg in the 78th minute of play. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Jose Correa hit a great ball. Per Larsson took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 82nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. If Tomas Illescas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
