Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Agustín Saelices hit a great ball. Julio Vera made a fantastic save in the 12th minute, when Szabolcs Vígh sent off a good shot on target. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita got a free kick in the 14th minute. The long shot by Zsolt Gergely in the 15th minute really tested Julio Vera's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. In the 23rd minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Illés Kiss saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 24 minutes into the match, Daniel Zorita had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Illés Kiss. Újlõrincfalva LC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Daniel Zorita was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Illés Kiss tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 41st minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Illés Kiss saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Újlõrincfalva LC's zone, Felix Montenegro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Illés Kiss came out of the goal and Felix Montenegro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After the first half Ecuador were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Daniel Zorita to make the kick off. 54 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Boldizsár Szabados came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Áron Jánosi, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. Illés Kiss showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 60th minute of the match. The supporters of Újlõrincfalva LC booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Agustín Saelices didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 64th minute of the match Zsolt Gergely shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Julio Vera showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Illés Kiss came out and tried to block the shot, but Daniel Zorita slotted it home off the left post making it 0-2 in the 71st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zsolt Gergely in the 73rd minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 94th minute, Zsolt Gergely made a precise shot to the right of Julio Vera. Ecuador's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-3. Ecuador played a much better game than Újlõrincfalva LC and deserved their victory. The Újlõrincfalva LC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
