Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Tomas Illescas took the kick off in the first half of the match. Tomas Illescas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Sebastián Sosa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Rigoberto Mina hit a great ball. Jonathan Ferrant made a fantastic save in the 17th minute, when Sorin Manciu sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ahmad Okhumeode í Lon Jacobsen in the 20th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 21st minute FC Inter Sibiu were awarded a corner. Codrin Chihaia went to the cornerflag to take it. FC Inter Sibiu's Codrin Chihaia was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Jonathan Ferrant in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 32nd minute, Venezuela's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Dragoş Bitang fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 35th minute of the match, managed to save Venezuela from getting a goal against them. After having played for 38 minutes, Dragoş Bitang managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Inter Sibiu's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dragoş Bitang was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of FC Inter Sibiu booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alex Chicote didn't get a good kick on the ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Sorin Manciu was the one to do the kick off. FC Inter Sibiu's Sorin Manciu got a good chance for a goal in the 51st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Tomas Illescas might have been able to make a better finish in the 54th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Sebastián Sosa. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tomas Illescas ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 54th minute Tomas Illescas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sebastián Sosa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 58th minute, Jose Correa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 59 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Ahmad Okhumeode í Lon Jacobsen came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal in the 65th minute to try and stop a shot by FC Inter Sibiu's Sorin Manciu. But to his dismay, Sorin Manciu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Tomas Illescas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 78th minute of the match, but Sebastián Sosa made a huge save. FC Inter Sibiu's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Codrin Chihaia in the 85th minute. An unexpected shot in the 88th minute by Tomas Illescas got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. If Sorin Manciu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Kajetan Madajczyk had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
