An unexpectedly hard shot by Maximiliano Escribano in the 14th minute of play forced Ekerö IF's goalkeeper Arvin Bollström to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Andreas Siöman's late challenge caught a Uruguay's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

After a defensive mix-up in Uruguay's zone, Freddie Wikander stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Joaquin Gayoso came out of the goal and Freddie Wikander tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Freddie Wikander had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Uruguay's Joaquin Gayoso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Freddie Wikander in the 59th minute of play. Ekerö IF were awarded a corner in the 60th minute after Uruguay's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Freddie Wikander took the corner. Ekerö IF's Arvin Bollström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maximiliano Escribano in the 64th minute of play. Joaquin Gayoso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Freddie Wikander, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 68th minute, Freddie Wikander managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ekerö IF's supporters rose to their feet, but Freddie Wikander was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Joaquin Gayoso breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ekerö IF's Arvin Bollström proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 71st minute of the match, managed to save Ekerö IF from getting a goal against them. Francisco Seco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Arvin Bollström tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Francisco Seco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Uruguay's Camilo Franco got a free kick in the 93rd minute. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Ekerö IF had won after a very even match.
