The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Iwan Cieliczka in the 4th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Raoul Boehnke saved KIRIKKALESPOR from getting behind. Ali Kaan Acartürk took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Yanek Platnarov, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ali Kaan Acartürk showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Paul Caniggia in the 9th minute of the match. The supporters of KIRIKKALESPOR booed when FC Zurich was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Angel Panagonov didn't get a good kick on the ball. Paul Caniggia had several of the FC Zurich's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 15 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-0 score and a disappointed Ali Kaan Acartürk as he didn't even see the shot coming. When the match clock showed 18 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Iwan Cieliczka sped through KIRIKKALESPOR's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Raoul Boehnke. 29 minutes into the match, KIRIKKALESPOR's goal looked a bit too open when Iwo Borcz came free, but Raoul Boehnke reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 29th minute Iwo Borcz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Raoul Boehnke saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 1-2 became the score in the 29th minute when Iwo Borcz elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. After 33 minutes of play, FC Zurich's Iwan Cieliczka made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Iwan Cieliczka to make the kick off. Iwan Cieliczkas short, quick shot in the 52ndth minute got Raoul Boehnke to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 53 minutes had been played when some careless play by KIRIKKALESPOR's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Angel Panagonov was slow to take the kick. During this time FC Zurich's players had a chance to rest. KIRIKKALESPOR's Raoul Boehnke played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Iwan Cieliczka in the 55th minute of play. Ali Kaan Acartürk showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tudor Orășan, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. With a little luck, KIRIKKALESPOR's Raoul Boehnke got control of the ball when Iwan Cieliczka tried to sneak it across the goal line. The FC Zurich fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-6. Nistor Tastaman kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. KIRIKKALESPOR's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Zurich the free kick. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Iwan Cieliczka in the 85th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Raoul Boehnke prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 86 minutes into the match, KIRIKKALESPOR's goal looked a bit too open when Iwo Borcz came free, but Raoul Boehnke reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Raoul Boehnke stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Iwan Cieliczka's shot from short distance in the 87th minute.
