The Deportivo Medievales fans' excitement grew in the 4th match minute when Deportivo Medievales's Augustinas Gavorskis looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Raoul Boehnke showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Augustinas Gavorskis in the 9th minute of the match. In the 13th minute Augustinas Gavorskis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Raoul Boehnke saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 14 minutes KIRIKKALESPOR's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Tomas Sazon who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Nino Manfredi got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Raoul Boehnke quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. When the match clock showed 16 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Augustinas Gavorskis sped through KIRIKKALESPOR's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Raoul Boehnke. After having played for 19 minutes, Augustinas Gavorskis managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Deportivo Medievales's supporters crossed their fingers, but Augustinas Gavorskis was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 22 minutes into the game, Augustinas Gavorskis cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Raoul Boehnke was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 24th minute the ball was on its way in behind KIRIKKALESPOR's goalkeeper Raoul Boehnke, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Raoul Boehnke showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Augustinas Gavorskis in the 30th minute of the match. Augustinas Gavorskis's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Raoul Boehnke read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 33rd minute of play. In the 36th minute, Augustinas Gavorskis left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Deportivo Medievales fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-4. In the 40th minute, Augustinas Gavorskis ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Raoul Boehnke was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-5. In the 42nd minute, Erkan Cerme hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Augustinas Gavorskis took the ball and in the 46 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Raoul Boehnke. Raoul Boehnke dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-6. After the first half Deportivo Medievales were leading 0-6. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Augustinas Gavorskis made the kick off in the second half. Robert Abbondanzieri showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tudor Orășan in the 51st minute of the match. In the 57th minute, Augustinas Gavorskis reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Raoul Boehnke. The goal made the score 0-7. The audience thought a goal was coming when Augustinas Gavorskis got free with Raoul Boehnke in the 62nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After some fancy dribbling in the 63rd minute, Augustinas Gavorskis managed to get in a good position for a shot. Deportivo Medievales's supporters rose to their feet, but Augustinas Gavorskis was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Raoul Boehnke breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The crowd rose to their feet as Augustinas Gavorskis kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Raoul Boehnke. That made the score 0-9 in the 70 minute of play. The throw-in from Camilo Hegoi in the 75th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Deportivo Medievales's You Qi Yang. The supporters of Deportivo Medievales booed when KIRIKKALESPOR was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Menderes Kerimhan didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 77 played minutes KIRIKKALESPOR got a freekick which was hit by Menderes Kerimhan. 78 minutes into the match, KIRIKKALESPOR's goal looked a bit too open when Augustinas Gavorskis came free, but Raoul Boehnke reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Raoul Boehnke took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Augustinas Gavorskis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the KIRIKKALESPOR defense, Augustinas Gavorskis kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Raoul Boehnke. The KIRIKKALESPOR fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Raoul Boehnke should have stopped the shot. The audience was convinced that Augustinas Gavorskis's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Raoul Boehnke was relentless in the 93rd minute of the game. 95 minutes into the match, Deportivo Medievales's Augustinas Gavorskis sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Raoul Boehnke narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Wellington Aranzazu hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match.
