Augustinas Gavorskis's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dino Zoff read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 12th minute of play. 14 minutes into the match, Deportivo Medievales's goal looked a bit too open when Eusebiu Godeanu came free, but Robert Abbondanzieri reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Deportivo Medievales getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Tytus Ziemniak hit a great ball. The Deportivo Medievales fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. The Cormoranii -MM- fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dino Zoff should have stopped the shot. 34 minutes into the match, Deportivo Medievales's goal looked a bit too open when Eusebiu Godeanu came free, but Robert Abbondanzieri reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 37th minute the ball was on its way in behind Cormoranii -MM-'s goalkeeper Dino Zoff, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 39th minute, Augustinas Gavorskis made a precise shot to the right of Dino Zoff. Cormoranii -MM-'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-4. Nino Manfredi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dino Zoff having to interfere. A sloppy throw-in by Bobby Fischer in the 46th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Deportivo Medievales's Gustavo Gar. The Cormoranii -MM- players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Deportivo Medievales were winning 1-4.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Augustinas Gavorskis to make the kick off. In the 96th minute, Augustinas Gavorskis ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Dino Zoff was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-10.
