An unexpectedly hard shot by Fırat Şahinalp in the 6th minute of play forced Lithuanian amber's goalkeeper Damazy Mitus to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Raoul Boehnke showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Martin Budín in the 7th minute of the match. KIRIKKALESPOR's Raoul Boehnke proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 9th minute of the match, managed to save KIRIKKALESPOR from getting a goal against them. Raoul Boehnke didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Saulius Mikalajūnas went, in the 12th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Raoul Boehnke made a fantastic save in the 14th minute, when Saulius Mikalajūnas sent off a good shot on target. After a defensive mix-up in KIRIKKALESPOR's zone, Saulius Mikalajūnas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Raoul Boehnke came out of the goal and Saulius Mikalajūnas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Martin Budín got free with Raoul Boehnke in the 24th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Yanek Platnarov received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Damazy Mitus tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 28 minutes into the match, KIRIKKALESPOR's goal looked a bit too open when Saulius Mikalajūnas came free, but Raoul Boehnke reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice moves Martin Budín could shoot a difficult shot in the 31st minute, which Raoul Boehnke however easily saved by the left post. In the 32nd minute Paul Caniggia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Damazy Mitus saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. KIRIKKALESPOR's Raoul Boehnke played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fernando Rivera in the 35th minute of play. Damazy Mitus showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tudor Orășan, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. In the 44th match minute, Lithuanian amber was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vaidas Ragėnas to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of KIRIKKALESPOR booed when Lithuanian amber was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. David Bengtsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The referee showed Camilo Hegoi the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Raoul Boehnke had in the 57thth minute some difficulties stopping Saulius Mikalajūnas's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. After 59 played minutes Lithuanian amber got a freekick which was hit by Vaidas Ragėnas. Lithuanian amber's Arnas Bacys was substituted for Jeremias Castulo. A collision led to Lithuanian amber getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Vaidas Ragėnas hit a great ball. KIRIKKALESPOR's Raoul Boehnke played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fernando Rivera in the 66th minute of play. In the 68th minute Paul Caniggia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Damazy Mitus saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Martin Budín's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Raoul Boehnke was relentless in the 75th minute of the game. Ignas Beresnevičius struck a weak shot in the 79th minute. Raoul Boehnke didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lithuanian amber. In the 92ndth minute of the game Martin Budín who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but KIRIKKALESPOR's Raoul Boehnke was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Martin Budín in the 96th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Raoul Boehnke saved KIRIKKALESPOR from getting behind. Lithuanian amber walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
