Szajk LC's Jonas Cesaro managed to work through GÉMINIS DARIÉN F.C.'s defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Jonas Cesaro dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. Csongor Csorba sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. András Horváth made a fantastic save in the 19th minute, when Wilfredo Henríguez sent off a good shot on target. In the 21st minute, Csongor Csorba left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Szajk LC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Zalán Kovács in the 23rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Thanasis Papadimitriou prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 26 played minutes Szajk LC got a freekick which was hit by Tibor Bósa. András Horváth made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tonni Bynge in the 27th minute of play. Zalán Kovács received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Thanasis Papadimitriou tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 34th minute, Zalán Kovács ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Thanasis Papadimitriou was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. A throw-in in the 39th minute of the game was made by Agustin Calderón with Tonni Bynge as target, who quickly passed the ball forward.

The audience thought a goal was coming when Tibor Bósa got free with Thanasis Papadimitriou in the 79th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.
