After a defensive mix-up in Divorciados FC's zone, Victoriano Acosta stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nestor Valery came out of the goal and Victoriano Acosta tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 8th minute Gaston Matthew shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nestor Valery saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Justo Berto during the 9th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Rene Tristan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fernando Brion, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 14th minute, Justo Berto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 18th minute, Edgardo Flores got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Fernando Brion sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fernando Brion might have been able to make a better finish in the 21st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Rene Tristan. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Fernando Brion ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 24th minute, Domingos Marquez ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rene Tristan was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. 31 minutes into the game, Domingos Marquez cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Rene Tristan was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Divorciados FC's Fernando Brion got a good chance for a goal in the 34th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Danilo Guillen hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. If Gaston Matthew had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 41 minutes into the match, C.S. y D. GENERAL LAVALLE's goal looked a bit too open when Benito Ferdinand came free, but Rene Tristan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in C.S. y D. The audience was convinced that Fernando Brion's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rene Tristan was relentless in the 45th minute of the game. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gaston Matthew was the one to do the kick off. Rene Tristan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fernando Brion, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. C.S. y D. GENERAL LAVALLE's Rene Tristan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edgardo Flores in the 54th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Edgardo Flores got free with Rene Tristan in the 56th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. C.S. y D. GENERAL LAVALLE's Rene Tristan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fernando Brion in the 57th minute of play. Benito Ferdinand's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Rene Tristan firmly grabbed it by the left post. In the 63rd minute, Gaston Matthew got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Octavio Erroman during the 64th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 64 played minutes Divorciados FC got a freekick which was hit by Octavio Erroman. In the 69th minute the ball was on its way in behind C.S. y D. GENERAL LAVALLE's goalkeeper Rene Tristan, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Benito Ferdinand received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Rene Tristan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rene Tristan was a little too slow when Fernando Brion got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 75th minute. The score was now 0-3. Benito Ferdinand fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rene Tristan having to interfere. If Fernando Brion had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Divorciados FC getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Domingos Marquez hit a great ball. Cipriano Paulin's late challenge caught a Divorciados FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cipriano Paulin helped the player get up and apologised. The C.S. y D. GENERAL LAVALLE fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Divorciados FC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
