The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Emiliano Furia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Victoriano Horado having to interfere. In the 7th minute Rodrigo-Sebastian Palacio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Victoriano Horado saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Victoriano Horado took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ross Strong, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 17 minutes into the match, Rodrigo-Sebastian Palacio had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Victoriano Horado. Devoto club social's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Rodrigo-Sebastian Palacio was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. When Rodrigo-Sebastian Palacio fell near the penalty area in the 20th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Rafaela FC's protests and gave Rodrigo-Sebastian Palacio a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Rafaela FC getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Rodrigo-Sebastian Palacio hit a great ball. In the 22nd minute, Ross Strong made a precise shot to the right of Victoriano Horado. Devoto club social's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. After a rather tough play, Devoto club social's Isaias Evangelista got a free kick in the 24th minute. Victoriano Horado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Octavio Gonzo in the 35th minute of play. In the 40th minute, Basilio Guillerme hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 45 minutes, Lara Croft mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Devoto club social and the Rafaela FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 46th minute of the match Nico Veit shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Victoriano Horado showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Rafaela FC's Octavio Gonzo got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

The wind increased when Rodrigo-Sebastian Palacio made the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Rodrigo-Sebastian Palacio dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Victoriano Horado, 0-4. Inocencio Veronica showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mart Palermo, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. Devoto club social were awarded a corner in the 59th minute after Rafaela FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Tiburcio Mero took the corner. The corner led Devoto club social's Mart Palermo to fire away a dangerous shot which Inocencio Veronica despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. When the match had gone on for 60 minutes, Emiliano Furia took a quick shot and it went in 0-5 without a chance for Victoriano Horado to make any attempt to save it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Octavio Gonzo in the 63rd minute of play forced Devoto club social's goalkeeper Victoriano Horado to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 69th minute, Isaias Evangelista hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice moves Octavio Gonzo could shoot a difficult shot in the 70th minute, which Victoriano Horado however easily saved by the left post. Victoriano Horado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rodrigo-Sebastian Palacio in the 75th minute of play. If Octavio Gonzo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Devoto club social's Marcial Valerio got a free kick in the 85th minute. After 87 played minutes Devoto club social got a freekick which was hit by Lara Croft. 88 minutes into the match, Devoto club social's goalkeeper Victoriano Horado had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rodrigo-Sebastian Palacio. 90 minutes into the game, Camillo Daniele was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Rafaela FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Devoto club social the free kick. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rodrigo-Sebastian Palacio in the 94th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Victoriano Horado prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a defensive mix-up in Devoto club social's zone, Rodrigo-Sebastian Palacio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Victoriano Horado came out of the goal and Rodrigo-Sebastian Palacio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the final whistle sounded Rafaela FC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Devoto club social.
