In the 7th minute, Erlantz Bermejo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 9 minutes into the match, Defensores de Lombroso's goalkeeper Denis Paulin had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Belo Alvarez. Uriel Ferrer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Maurino Serena tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Uriel Ferrer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Maurino Serena having to interfere. Maurino Serena made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lionel-Andrés Messi in the 22nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lionel-Andrés Messi in the 29th minute of play forced A.D. Alcorcón's goalkeeper Maurino Serena to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Denis Paulin made a fantastic save in the 31st minute, when Belo Alvarez sent off a good shot on target. Denis Paulin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Erlantz Bermejo in the 34th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lionel-Andrés Messi in the 35th minute of play forced A.D. Alcorcón's goalkeeper Maurino Serena to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The corner went over the outstretched arms of A.D. Alcorcón's goalie and right to Agustin Fidencio. Denis Paulin made an important save on a dangerous shot by Belo Alvarez in the 45th minute. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Belo Alvarez made the kick off in the second half. Defensores de Lombroso's Denis Paulin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Belo Alvarez in the 54th minute of play. Maurino Serena made an important save on a dangerous shot by Godfredo Gau in the 57th minute. Teofilo Esdras received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Maurino Serena came out of the goal and Godfredo Gau tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 87th minute Erlantz Bermejo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Denis Paulin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Xesc Jorquera kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. Agustin Fidencio got his second yellow card in the match during the 93rd minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. If Erlantz Bermejo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 96th minute, Erlantz Bermejo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The A.D. Alcorcón fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The A.D. Alcorcón fans cheered their team off the field, for while Defensores de Lombroso had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
