But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pavao Zadro couldn't finish the play. 11 minutes into the match, Ruquense FC's goal looked a bit too open when Pavao Zadro came free, but François-Xavier Dionnet reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 24th minute, Basilio Fernandez made a precise shot to the right of Nestor Cortez. Lobos de Carelia's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. In the 26th minute, Silvano Bide left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ruquense FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. François-Xavier Dionnet made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Saul Montrel in the 29th minute of play. With a little luck, Ruquense FC's François-Xavier Dionnet got control of the ball when Horacio Oliverios tried to sneak it across the goal line. Silvano Bide blasted a shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Nestor Cortez having to make a save. When the match had gone on for 46 minutes, Basilio Fernandez put it in 0-3 from a short distance just to the right of Nestor Cortez. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Basilio Fernandez was the one to do the kick off. In the 79thth minute of the game Prospero Perico who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ruquense FC's François-Xavier Dionnet was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 83 minutes into the match, Lobos de Carelia's goal looked a bit too open when Remigio Quirze came free, but Nestor Cortez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Cristobal Lia came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the Lobos de Carelia fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cristobal Lia couldn't finish the play. Eusebio Rios hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. In the 90th play minute Basilio Fernandez came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Nestor Cortez. 0-4. 93 minutes into the match, Lobos de Carelia's goalkeeper Nestor Cortez had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ladislao Lehen. After a rather tough play, Lobos de Carelia's Saul Montrel got a free kick in the 94th minute. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Ruquense FC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
