Seating: 11, VIP seats: 1) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Djati Simamora got the match started through his kick off. Jonas Salk showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 3rd minute of the match. A collision led to Penang Island getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Banan Banana hit a great ball. In the 7th minute, Bulek Idris made a precise shot to the right of Julio Vera. Ecuador's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Jonas Salk made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 11th minute of play. Bulek Idris's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Julio Vera read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 17th minute of play. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Daniel Zorita struck a weak shot in the 20th minute. Jonas Salk didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 22nd minute of play forced Penang Island's goalkeeper Jonas Salk to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 23rd minute of the match Ecuador got a corner. Penang Island's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Daniel Zorita ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Luis Andino almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Penang Island's Jonas Salk did a great save. In the 24th minute Felix Montes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonas Salk saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jonas Salk didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Felix Montes went, in the 24th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Jonas Salk showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 27th minute of the match. 28 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bulek Idris. Jonas Salk didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Daniel Zorita went, in the 30th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. 34 minutes into the match, Cristian Sancho had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jonas Salk. Penang Island's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cristian Sancho was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. Jonas Salk showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 39th minute of the match. Daniel Zorita took the ball and in the 39 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jonas Salk. Jonas Salk dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-4. In the 45th minute, Bulek Idris got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Daniel Zorita to strike the kick off in the second half. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Djati Simamora, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. Ecuador's Luis Andino got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bulek Idris in the 58th minute of play. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bulek Idris, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. Jonas Salk took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match had gone on for 82 minutes, Cristian Sancho took a quick shot and it went in 3-6 without a chance for Jonas Salk to make any attempt to save it. A throw-in in the 84th minute of the game was made by Primitivo Andino with Felix Montenegro as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. If Luis Andino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Luis Andino recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 88th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 90th minute, Gendo Waluyo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Daniel Zorita struck a weak shot in the 91st minute. Jonas Salk didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. 95 minutes into the game, Daniel Zorita was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ecuador's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Penang Island the free kick.
