After a rather tough play, Peru's Emmanuel Reyes got a free kick in the 27th minute. After 59 played minutes Peru got a freekick which was hit by Emmanuel Reyes. Freddy Tilens came out of the goal in the 63rd minute to try and stop a shot by Peru's Luz Tejedor. But to his dismay, Luz Tejedor quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Peru's Eliseo Mina quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Jose Verschelde, made in the 68th minute of the game. In the 69th minute Peru were awarded a corner. Luz Tejedor went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led Peru's Luz Tejedor to fire away a dangerous shot which Freddy Tilens despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Emmanuel Reyes in the 70thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Freddy Tilens, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Freddy Tilens took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eliseo Mina, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 77 minutes of play, Peru's Eliseo Mina made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Freddy Tilens was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 83rd minute of the match, Julian Murillo tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Freddy Tilens saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. A collision led to KFC Paal-Tervant getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Jose Verschelde hit a great ball. Freddy Tilens stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rafael Gallo's shot from short distance in the 96th minute. Peru's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
