Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Joel Gaona got the match started through his kick off. Joel Gaona fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jean-Charles Sauvaget having to interfere. With a little luck, Mexico's Dante Lacasa got control of the ball when Serge Vielle tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Alberto Tafalla had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mexico's Joel Gaona got a good chance for a goal in the 12th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Mexico's Dante Lacasa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 17th minute of the match, managed to save Mexico from getting a goal against them. In the 19th minute, Alberto Tafalla got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 21st minute Alberto Tafalla shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jean-Charles Sauvaget saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jean-Charles Sauvaget made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lautaro Mancebo in the 24th minute of play. Jean-Charles Sauvaget showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lautaro Mancebo, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. Cellule's Jean-Charles Sauvaget played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lautaro Mancebo in the 31st minute of play. Dante Lacasa was a little too slow when Adil Albrecht got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 33rd minute. The score was now 1-0. Cellule's Jean-Charles Sauvaget played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 36th minute of play. Lautaro Mancebo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 40th match minute, Mexico was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Facundo Cadaval to maneuver through the defense. 45 minutes into the match, Mexico's Joel Gaona sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jean-Charles Sauvaget narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Jean-Charles Sauvaget made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joel Gaona in the 47th minute of play. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Adil Albrecht was the one to do the kick off. Jean-Charles Sauvaget stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Joel Gaona's shot from short distance in the 53rd minute. The supporters of Cellule booed when Mexico was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leonardo Leoz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Joel Gaona fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jean-Charles Sauvaget having to interfere. Mexico were awarded a corner in the 65th minute after Cellule's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Joel Gaona took the corner. The corner led Mexico's Joel Gaona to fire away a dangerous shot which Jean-Charles Sauvaget despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Jean-Charles Sauvaget made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alberto Tafalla in the 71st minute of play. 71 minutes into the match, Alberto Tafalla had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jean-Charles Sauvaget. Cellule's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Alberto Tafalla was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joel Gaona in the 74th minute of play forced Cellule's goalkeeper Jean-Charles Sauvaget to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 76th minute, Jean-Philippe Contal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Lautaro Mancebo's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Jean-Charles Sauvaget firmly grabbed it by the left post. Jean-Charles Sauvaget made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alberto Tafalla in the 80th minute of play. Alberto Tafalla could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 84th minute of the match, but Jean-Charles Sauvaget made a huge save. Cellule's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Alberto Tafalla 84 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-3. After some fancy dribbling in the 87th minute, Joel Gaona managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mexico's supporters rose to their feet, but Joel Gaona was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jean-Charles Sauvaget breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Cellule booed when Mexico was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Facundo Cadaval didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the final whistle sounded Mexico left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Cellule.
