Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Kjell-Arne Edström to make the kick off. After 71 minutes of play, AsLaN 1915's Mehmet Ali Onuker made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Dante Lacasa was left in no man's land by his defense there! Mexico's Dante Lacasa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kjell-Arne Edström in the 75th minute of play. Gürsel Bahçıvan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alberto Tafalla, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. Mexico were awarded a corner in the 80th minute after AsLaN 1915's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Joel Gaona took the corner. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Emirşah Tolgahan during the 84th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Mexico getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Lorenzo Cazalla hit a great ball. Mexico were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
