JULM C.F.'s attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Tiburcio Lejalde in the 4th minute. Pål Bergmann made a fantastic save in the 6th minute, when Ma Tian sent off a good shot on target. Pål Bergmann made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ma Tian in the 10th minute. After 11 minutes DZINTARS's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Tiburcio Lejalde who took care of the corner kick. The corner led JULM C.F.'s Tiburcio Lejalde to fire away a dangerous shot which Pål Bergmann despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. 16 minutes into the match, DZINTARS's goalkeeper Pål Bergmann had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ma Tian. In the 31st minute, Ma Tian reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Pål Bergmann. The goal made the score 1-0. If Ma Tian had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Pål Bergmann made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ma Tian in the 34th minute. In the 36th minute, Ma Tian left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The JULM C.F. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. In the 41st minute, Vassilis Papadaskalopoulos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. DZINTARS's Pål Bergmann proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 46th minute of the match, managed to save DZINTARS from getting a goal against them.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ma Tian to strike the kick off in the second half. Ma Tian struck a weak shot in the 53rd minute. Pål Bergmann didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for JULM C.F.. In the 55th minute, Ma Tian got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. DZINTARS made a substitution. Kristofers Pielis replaced Kārlis Dzintars. 58 minutes into the match, JULM C.F.'s Eero Grönholm sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Pål Bergmann narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Enrique Saura fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pål Bergmann having to interfere. Pål Bergmann made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eero Grönholm in the 77th minute of play. In the 79th minute of the match JULM C.F. got a corner. DZINTARS's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Tiburcio Lejalde ran over to the corner to take the kick. A collision led to DZINTARS getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Ingvars Tresters hit a great ball. The corner led JULM C.F.'s Tiburcio Lejalde to fire away a dangerous shot which Pål Bergmann despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Pål Bergmann showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eero Grönholm in the 93rd minute of the match. When the referee blew the final whistle, JULM C.F. could leave the field as winners, despite DZINTARS having more of the ball for most of the match.
