In the 22nd minute, Black horses's Cipriano Sauveur ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Pål Bergmann. Pål Bergmann yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. DZINTARS's Pål Bergmann played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cipriano Sauveur in the 26th minute of play. With a little luck, DZINTARS's Pål Bergmann got control of the ball when Cipriano Sauveur tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 32 minutes of play, DZINTARS's Henrihs Linkūns made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Valdis Felbergs was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 35th minute, Cipriano Sauveur got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Valdis Felbergs made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ģirts Ozols in the 38th minute of play. 40 minutes into the game, Cipriano Sauveur recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Pål Bergmann. Cipriano Sauveur showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-1. Cipriano Sauveur might have been able to make a better finish in the 44th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Pål Bergmann. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Cipriano Sauveur ran back to his position shaking his head. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-1.

The wind increased when Cipriano Sauveur made the kick off in the second half. Pål Bergmann made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cipriano Sauveur in the 51st minute of play.
