But to his dismay, Olaf Kööp quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. 12 minutes into the match, FC Iecēni's goal looked a bit too open when Olaf Kööp came free, but Genaro Ponciano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 13 minutes into the match, Armageddon's goal looked a bit too open when Viktors Behmans came free, but Marko Ööpik reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 17th minute Olavs Eliass shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marko Ööpik saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Genaro Ponciano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Olaf Kööp, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. After some careless play in the Armageddon defense, Viktors Behmans kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Marko Ööpik. The Armageddon fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Marko Ööpik should have stopped the shot.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Marek Hamšík stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Olaf Kööp had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. Genaro Ponciano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Michel Legdeur, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. Marko Ööpik stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Viktors Behmans's shot from short distance in the 76th minute. A sloppy throw-in by Alfred Di Stefano in the 81st minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by FC Iecēni's Uvis Svitiņš. Genaro Ponciano stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Michel Legdeur's shot from short distance in the 83rd minute. Marko Ööpik made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Viktors Behmans in the 86th minute of play. Marko Ööpik didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Marek Hamšík went, in the 93rd minute, to the upper right corner, 3-3 was the resulting score. After 96 minutes of play, Armageddon's Michel Legdeur made it 3-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Genaro Ponciano was left in no man's land by his defense there! The Armageddon supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Armageddon would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
