With a little luck, Lithuanian amber's Damazy Mitus got control of the ball when Indris Tomass tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 13th minute Jāzeps Pics shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Damazy Mitus saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match had gone on for 15 minutes, Martin Budín put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Jānis Lielais. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fernando Rivera in the 18th minute of play forced SK Annenieki's goalkeeper Jānis Lielais to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Drosmis Kalnaiza charged in rather forcefully in the 33rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Drosmis Kalnaiza the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 33 played minutes SK Annenieki got a freekick which was hit by Drosmis Kalnaiza. In the 34th minute, Martin Budín ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jānis Lielais was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. When Fernando Rivera came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the Lithuanian amber fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fernando Rivera couldn't finish the play. The audience was convinced that Martin Budín's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jānis Lielais was relentless in the 42nd minute of the game. Damazy Mitus took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jāzeps Pics, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jānis Lielais stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Martin Budín's shot from short distance in the 48th minute. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Martin Budín was the one to do the kick off. If Martin Budín had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Damazy Mitus showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Indris Tomass, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. Lithuanian amber's Damazy Mitus played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jāzeps Pics in the 59th minute of play. When Lithuanian amber's Martin Budín in the 68th minute got a chance for a shot 68th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye SK Annenieki's goalie prevented a goal. Lithuanian amber's Damazy Mitus played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jāzeps Pics in the 73rd minute of play. Ignas Beresnevičius replaced Vaidas Ragėnas. Lithuanian amber's attentive David Bengtsson managed to snatch the ball when Ingus Rencis made a throw-in in the 77th minute of the game. SK Annenieki were furious when Santis Krūzītis was red carded, 79 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. 85 minutes into the game, Jāzeps Pics cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-2. Damazy Mitus was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Lithuanian amber were awarded a corner in the 89th minute after SK Annenieki's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Jeremias Castulo took the corner. After 90 played minutes SK Annenieki got a freekick which was hit by Normunds Vēbers. Jānis Lielais showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vidmantas Ubartas in the 95th minute of the match. Lithuanian amber's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
