An unexpectedly hard shot by Ģirts Ozols in the 6th minute of play forced FK Mintis Vilnius's goalkeeper Mustafa Kemal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomas Danilevičius in the 7th minute of play forced DZINTARS's goalkeeper Pål Bergmann to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tomas Danilevičius could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 13th minute of the match, but Pål Bergmann made a huge save. In the 13thth minute of the game Tomas Danilevičius who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but DZINTARS's Pål Bergmann was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The audience was convinced that Tomas Danilevičius's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Pål Bergmann was relentless in the 13th minute of the game. Mustafa Kemal stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Henrihs Linkūns's shot from short distance in the 17th minute. The supporters of DZINTARS booed when FK Mintis Vilnius was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sigitas Jakubauskas didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mustafa Kemal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ģirts Ozols, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. Mustafa Kemal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Henrihs Linkūns, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. DZINTARS's Pål Bergmann played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Danilevičius in the 22nd minute of play. In the 22nd minute Tomas Danilevičius shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pål Bergmann saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 26th minute, Sigitas Jakubauskas ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Pål Bergmann was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. 31 minutes into the match, Arūnas Pukelis notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of DZINTARS's Pål Bergmann. Pål Bergmann was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Pål Bergmann took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from İsrafil Yağız, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mustafa Kemal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edmunds Tambergs in the 39th minute of play.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tomas Danilevičius to make the kick off. Sigitas Jakubauskas hit a great freekick 50 minutes into the match. Pål Bergmann came out of the goal in the 55th minute to try and stop a shot by FK Mintis Vilnius's Tomas Danilevičius. But to his dismay, Tomas Danilevičius quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. DZINTARS made a substitution. Kristofers Pielis replaced Kārlis Dzintars. DZINTARS's Pål Bergmann played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Amado Guterres in the 64th minute of play. With a little luck, FK Mintis Vilnius's Mustafa Kemal got control of the ball when Ģirts Ozols tried to sneak it across the goal line. Arūnas Pukelis took the ball and in the 70 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Pål Bergmann. Pål Bergmann dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. Pål Bergmann made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Danilevičius in the 77th minute of play. 80 minutes into the match, FK Mintis Vilnius's goal looked a bit too open when Henrihs Linkūns came free, but Mustafa Kemal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mustafa Kemal made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ģirts Ozols in the 83rd minute. Pål Bergmann took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from İsrafil Yağız, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When FK Mintis Vilnius's Tomas Danilevičius in the 85th minute got a chance for a shot 85th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye DZINTARS's goalie prevented a goal. Mustafa Kemal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Henrihs Linkūns, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. For all the effort they put into the match, the DZINTARS players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for FK Mintis Vilnius.
